The series ran for four seasons, spanning a total of fifty-two episodes. The first two episodes were released online on March 24–25, 2012 and were available in high-definition for free on iTunes. However, Aang, Sokka and Toph can be seen in flashbacks, while Zuko is represented by a statue. The only characters from the original series to be featured in both shows are Iroh and Katara. The series take place 70 years after the end of its predecessor. It is the sequel series of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the fifth Nicktoons spin-off.
